Boss Overstuffed Leather High-Back Executive Chair, Black at Office Depot.

christmas present from cindy

ast night we got a 7.5" Kodiak Christmas tree from HomeDepot. It has 500 lights.
The huge box couldn't fit into my small Acura Integra
It's raining. We tore open the box and took out three sections of the trees and stuff them into the back seat of the car. I folded down the back seat rest so as not to scratch the leather. It was comical. We were worse then the Griswalds.

hi fi

My Adventures in Hi Fi Fi:
Date: 2005-10-01, 9:07AM PDT

I've got a nice pair of 2 way classic Advent legacy speakers that need a new home. Nothing wrong with them I've just got too many speakers. The cabinets feature a 10" long throw woofer (just re-foamed and good for another 20+ yrs.) and a 1" tweeter and they sound great. All of the drivers work as they should. The cabinets are black vinyl with a solid pecan wood top. There are a few scratches on the sides and the grills have a few small rub holes up against the grill frame but like I said they sound great and are a great value. Call Joe

well I did and ended up with a BeoVox which is currently blaring out Dave Mathews...
Have you ever heard of Clips horn speaker?? I had the opportunity yesterday. It is a piece of furniture. The cross section is a work of cabinetry.
I answer Joe's Craig's list and drove out to the country to see the Advent Legacy. Joe's house is full of speakers and other junk. His wife puts up with it and he makes decent money from his hobby restoring old speakers that he finds at garage sales. Joe knows his product and has a discerning eye and instinct for the valuable rare collector's items. His wife tells me he has netted profits beyond what he pays for. The speakers had fetched a grand on EBay.

His wife desperately wants him to get rid of his junks. Joe is a musician, a drummer to be exact. He has several pairs of drum kits. One set has a very low serial number.
He took me to another room and left me there to peruse over a cabinet while he look for a pair of BeoVox. I accidentally knocked over a cardboard box full of white socks and other dirty laundries.

I should have brought a camera with me. Joe is very convincing and a good sales man. He doesn’t much like his day job and has reduced his hours to tend audiophile business. I wish I was more productive in my hobbies.

I'm really happy to google tool bar with spell checks. I don't have to use word to check the spelling.

September 29, 2005 Thursday
For diner tonight I made spaghetti. Standards have decided to give us a kitchen aid refrigerator because the whirlpool in Satin is out of stock. I’m happy that mom got the big refrigerator and the new stove. I’m begging to think of topics or subject not to write about. I’m editing before writing.
For lunch, I went to Chen’s Open Kitchen and wrote in my journal while I ate beef low mien.
Idea for writing…. write about visiting my father’s grave. It’s been more then ten years since I visited my father’s gram. It’s the first time I visited. There weren’t many fresh flowers. Because the Chinese are afraid of ghosts. The fresh flowers are of the fresh grave. Here I’m trying not to get into too deep or too intimate. My mind is distracted into thinking about repetitive writings. In one way it’s good to revise and rewrite these ideas. Afternoon office birthday party, Autumn suddenly got more information out of me then I had wanted to reveal. She told me her past boyfriend was 38 years old. They have 16 years apart. Her mother was dating and is still dating some one much younger then she. I found out that they got marry because of her. I told autumn the story of how I came to America.

condo notes

We have been having very bad luck with the refrigerator. Maybe it's because I married someone born on the 13th. My wife thinks so.
The delivery man was late because he for got his tools.
I took a nap while I waited at home for the delivery truck to arrive.
The refrigerator door is damaged so we will have to get another one and wait another day

cuerpo on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

cuerpo on Flickr - Photo Sharing!: "?The entire mystery of pleasure in a woman?s body lies in the intensity of the pulsation just before the orgasm. Sometimes it is slow, one-two-three, three palpitations which then project a fiery and icy liqueur through the body. If the palpitation is feeble, muted, the pleasure is like a gentler wave. The pocket seed of ecstasy bursts with more or less energy, when it is richest it touches every portion of the body, vibrating through every nerve and cell. If the palpitation is intense, the rhythm and beat of it is slower and the pleasure more lasting. Electric flesh-arrows, a second wave of pleasure falls over the first, a third which touches every nerve end, and now the third like an electric current traversing the body. A rainbow of color strikes the eyelids. A foam of music falls over the ears. It is the gong of the orgasm. There are times when a woman feels her body but lightly played on. Others when it reaches such a climax it seems it can never surpass. So many climaxes. Some caused by tenderness, some by desire, some by a word or an image seen during the day. There are times when the day itself demads a climax, days of which do not end in a climax, when the body is asleep or dreaming other dreams. There are days when the climax is not pleasure but pain, jealousy, terror, anxiety. And there are days when the climax takes place in creation, a white climax. Revolution is another climax. Sainthood another.?

It’s not as bad as one would think…at first I was against it
But when we got there it was not as high as it was in our mind.
Yes it was the crazy polish couple that urged us on.
Nina really wanted to try it and I didn’t want to stop her. I didn’t want to be left out of the experience either.
They got about seven people to go jumping. More girls then guys actually. There was one other couple.
A bunch of people from another group that we didn’t know.
I saw an old man jump so I decided that I would go to it.
The father and his daughter and son jumped. They try to get the mother to jump but she didn’t want to. The daughter didn’t make a sound. We all scream like mad.
Nina jumped before me and I jumped last in the group. I didn’t want to and didn’t decide to jump until the last minute. So for me I didn’t spend so much time fretting about it.
It’s very strange feeling…hard to write about it. It’s similar to an awakening. The first step off into air is amazing really. You don’t hear or see anything for a few seconds and then you see the ground rushing towards you. I closed my eyes then. The ride up because of the bungee bounce is strangest and this happens for two times. We all hang in mid air and stay like that for a few seconds. It’s all very disorientating.
We both decided to do only one jump in our lives and we wouldn’t do it again. But it’s safe because we saw many jumps and it’s not logical that you can fall form the harness. It’s very tight fit.
We talk about it more after the jump and now have an intense shared experience.

additional comments...
because of time constraints I was only able to look at two or three pages of the most current pictures in the pool and my choice was based on that. However, I don't think my choice would have been different. A photographs first impression is pretty strong. Roland Barthes said something to the affect that a photograph has a punch or a punctum as he called it i think. there is something there in the photograph that can reach out to my mind and hit me and this photograph does that for me.

Originally entered into DPChallenge Opposites and earned 1st place!

This was one horrific storm. I drove through it for roughly 40 miles and there were hundreds if not thousands of strikes during my drive. Lightning was hitting in front of me, to either side, behind me and above me, I honestly thought I might die that night.

Anyway, after what seemed like hours I managed to get out from under the storm. I pulled over in a rest stop and set up. At first I did it hand held, figuring it would be a cool effect. Those didn't look to great, so I set up the tripod.

So, was I lucky? To come out alive, for sure! To get the shot that won? Definitely. But, I was luckiest to get to experience that storm and have the luxury of pointing my camera where ever I pleased and to know I would capture lightning in a bottle.

I stay after my shift at 114 to chat with Kimber about the mind.

W.S. MERWIN : March 29, 2005 – 7:30 p.m.
Wieden + Kennedy Atrium – 224 NW 13th Ave, Portland
Buy Tickets Online
"Merwin has always been a contemplative poet, drawn to the lessons of the natural world and the rigors of unmediated vision. He has also been a romantic poet, heroic in his quest for the depths and intensities, the powers and possibilities of consciousness. Best of all, he has been a surprising poet, continually slipping the bonds of anyone's easy admiration."—J.D.McClatchy, The New Yorker

For more than five decades, W.S. Merwin has been an illuminating fixture in the worlds of poetry and translation. His first book, A Mask for Janus (1952), was selected the winner of the Yale Series of Younger Poets. In 1971, he won the Pulitzer Prize for The Carrier of Ladders. In the fall of 2004, Merwin was awarded the prestigious Lannan Lifetime Achievement Award in Poetry.

Re: Experience with your Creative Player - MP3 Players - Creative Labs

SPECS
TYPE - Zen NuVo N200 white
Capacity - 252mb
DATE - March 15, 2005
PRICE - $79 with 10 rebate
COUNTRY - US of A
ACCESSORIES - none

SOUND QUALITY - Good wish fm was a bit better but digital fm is hard to get clear reception. The white head phone from creative is the best small head phone compare to the ipod or even the sony mini disc NH1 head phones. It just has the right lenghth for joggoing too.

USER INTERFACE - hard to find the record function. wish they had a record button separate for quick access. small display hard to see. scrolling only forward not backwards....makes finding present stations much harder.
SOME COMMENTS - like it? LOVE IT can record from my Mini Disc to mp3 for voice recorderings
BATTERY LIFE - Recording mp3 drains the battery fast. Rechargable batter doesn't work well with this.

Wish list for this player: Option for usb charge...better fm reception and record in wma or mp3 formatte

This player is so tiny and very cute and modern clean looking. The rubber shield is nice to keep the player from scratches and the clip is nice. The arm ban is a bit big and clumsy looking for a player this size. I didn't find the lanyard when i bought this player but there is a hole for the lanyard.

it has a wonder full built clip with white rubber plastic protective case which allows you to hook your usb and headphone without taking it off. the only time you need to take off the case if when you change your battery. Mine is white and 256mb...i want to upgrade to the one gig.

SPECS
TYPE - Creative Labs Rhomba
Capacity - 252mb
DATE - March 15, 2005
PRICE - $59 ebay auction drop
COUNTRY - US of A
ACCESSORIES - none

SOUND QUALITY - Good wish fm was a bit better but digital fm is hard to get clear reception...good for recording voice radion program only and personal voice recordings note to self type.

USER INTERFACE - hard to find the record function. It has a record button separate for quick access. Bigger Display easier to see. scrolling only forward making it hard to find stations quickly.
SOME COMMENTS - like it? LOVE IT can listen to NPR and record bits from it.
BATTERY LIFE - good usb charger but only wish is that they make a universal usb charger like the NuVo N200.

Wish list for this player: universal usb plug. if they made it for the tiny n200 they can make it for the rhomba.

Got it on ebay auction drop with proceeds going to the tsunami victims. it came with out any cables.

so i had to buy the special cables from Creative. At first it didn't work. Then i down loaded the driver and upgraded the firmwear and i was so excited to see it come alive. Almost returned it to Auction Drop but what the heck the proceeds goes to the Tsunami victims right??. So i went to best buy and bought the N200. then came home to play around with the Rhomba which came alive. So i have two players. I bought the $16 warrenty or upgrade plan. I'm thinking of upgrading to another Creative N200 player to another one but can't decide which just yet. there are so many options and just a little bit of difference between the variety of Creative line of product choices.
