Silver Star Mountain

 
Silver Star Mountain is a wonderful hike in Washington and Oregon.  The area is part of the Gifford Pinchyon National Park.  I did this hike with the meet up group in Portland.  It is quite a climb to the trail head so four wheel drive is recommended.  I spotted a small car stuck in the mud.
It's a great place to watch birds.  We saw several elderly enthusiastic birders with their binoculars gazing at the early September Sky.

The Robert Glasper Experiment at Star Theater

The Robert Glasper Experiment at Star Theater in Portland Oregon, in Old China Town.  The drummer was fast and innovative with his beat.  The Venue is really cool.  There is an outdoor patio pit to hang out and drink on a cool spring night.

Especially the accomodation i Tortuguero and Osa were reat ( as were the nature)
Please take a good telelens with you ( I used 200-400 from Nikon together with my D3X ) . Travelling there is relatively easy and with a monopod, you get along quite well.
